GTi badge to be dropped

Post by French Connection on Sat Nov 21, 2009 1:48 am

The famous GTi badge will be dropped with the arrival of the new 208 next year.

This was announced because the sales were of the GTis in the current range are not justifying the use any longer.

Peugeot does accept that it isn't a major player any longer in the hot hatch market.

Peugeot sees its role in the 2+2 (Coupe) segment.

GTi is synonymous with Peugeot, i`m sure Peugeot will make the right choice.
Having seen the new range i`m quite excited to stay with the marque, peugeot 208 will be on my shopping list.

Bring on the GSR!!!

tbf from what iv heard the 207 gti has some serious issues that need sorting like the water pump failures, the oil surculation on cold start up or when parked on a hill is almost none existent.
